This 12 inch round deep plate is specified for food service operations / catering operations that require a large serving format with higher containment. The 1.5 inch deep profile is designed to manage liquid-rich foods such as gravies, curries, and mixed meals while maintaining portion control for full-plate servings. The round geometry supports balanced load distribution and stable handling during service and transport, functioning as a spill-proof alternative where shallow plates increase rim overflow and handling loss.
The plate is manufactured from 100% natural shed sheath of Areca Catechu palm and heat-pressed at 180°C to lock the fiber structure into a rigid, uniform shape. Heat pressing creates a semi-hydrophobic surface and strengthens the rim and base, delivering industrial-grade durability with wall thickness 1.5–2.5 mm. The structure remains stable across a thermal range −20°C to +120°C and provides liquid resistance (6–8 hours), allowing the plate to hold wet food through service, holding, and short transit windows without rapid softening.
For export movement, moisture content is controlled at 6–7% to reduce warping and support ocean transit stability across humid and mixed-climate routes. The deep round format nests predictably to improve export efficiency, optimize carton utilization, and lower freight cost per unit for high-volume importers managing container loads and warehouse throughput.
Processing follows chemical-free processing with water-only washing, and the plates are UV treated to meet food-safe handling requirements.
