This 10×10 inch square shallow plate is specified for food service operations / catering operations that need a larger plating surface without increasing stack height. The square geometry provides a wider usable area for portion control and organized side servings, reducing overlap when mains and accompaniments are served together. The shallow profile supports fast line service and tray packing where stability matters, and it is used as a spill-proof alternative to paperboard when short holding and frequent handling are expected.
The plate is formed from areca sheath and heat-pressed at 180°C to set the fiber structure into a rigid, repeatable shape. Heat pressing creates a semi-hydrophobic surface and reinforces corners and edges, supporting industrial-grade durability with wall thickness 1.5–2.5 mm. The structure remains functional across a thermal range −20°C to +120°C and provides liquid resistance (6–8 hours) for typical exposure to sauces and moisture during service and dispatch windows.
For export movement, moisture content 6–7% is maintained to reduce warping risk and support ocean transit stability across humid lanes.
