This 12 inch round deep plate is specified for food service operations / catering operations that need a larger serve footprint with higher containment for wet and mixed menus. The 2.5 inch deep profile is used to reduce handling loss when serving liquid-rich foods at scale, while the wider diameter supports portion control for full meals without crowding the plate. In event catering and bulk meal distribution, the deeper wall also stabilizes side servings during packing and carry, functioning as a spill-proof alternative where shallow formats lead to overflow at the rim.
The plate is formed from areca sheath and heat-pressed at 180°C to set the fiber structure and maintain shape consistency across the rim and bowl depth. Heat pressing creates a semi-hydrophobic surface and improves edge strength, supporting industrial-grade durability with wall thickness 1.5–2.5 mm. The structure remains functional across a thermal range −20°C to +120°C and provides liquid resistance (6–8 hours) to limit soak-through during service, holding, and transport windows.
For export movement, moisture content 6–7% is maintained to reduce warping risk and support ocean transit stability across humid lanes. The deep-round profile is designed to nest predictably to improve export efficiency, increase carton utilization, and reduce freight cost per unit for high-volume importers planning container loads and warehouse throughput.
