Product Description
5–6 Inch Areca Palm Leaf Spoon – Export-Grade Bio-Disposable
This 5–6 inch areca palm leaf spoon is specified for food service operations / catering operations that require a consistent, single-use cutlery format aligned with plated or tray-based meals. The length and bowl geometry are designed to support portion control during service and consumption, while maintaining balance for side servings such as rice, curries, or desserts. It is commonly paired with liquid-rich foods where controlled scooping is required and functions as a spill-proof alternative to thin wooden or paper cutlery that flexes under load.
The spoon is formed from areca sheath and heat-pressed at 180°C to set the fiber structure into a rigid, repeatable profile. Heat pressing creates a semi-hydrophobic surface and improves edge integrity, supporting industrial-grade durability with wall thickness 1.5–2.5 mm. The structure remains stable across a thermal range −20°C to +120°C and provides liquid resistance (6–8 hours) under typical meal service and holding conditions without rapid softening.
For export movement, moisture content 6–7% is maintained to limit brittleness and support ocean transit stability across varying humidity levels. The uniform profile enables tight nesting and controlled pack density, improving export efficiency and lowering freight cost per unit for high-volume importers managing containerized shipments and downstream distribution.
Processing follows chemical-free processing and the spoons are UV treated to meet food-safe handling requirements. The material is compostable and supplied as export-ready inventory with documentation support, compliance checks, and coordinated sourcing for bulk procurement.
