This 8 inch round areca palm leaf plate is designed to support mid-portion meal service where controlled depth and liquid handling are required. The 1.5 inch deep profile accommodates liquid-rich foods and mixed servings, functioning as a spill-proof alternative for food service operations and catering operations that require stability during handling and distribution.
The plate is manufactured from the naturally shed sheath of the areca catechu palm and heat-pressed at 180°C to achieve a rigid form with a semi-hydrophobic surface. Industrial-grade durability is maintained through a natural wall thickness range of 1.5–2.5 mm, enabling consistent performance across a thermal range of −20°C to +120°C. Liquid resistance is sustained for 6–8 hours without deformation under standard service conditions.
For logistics and export efficiency, the plate is engineered for tight nesting to maximize carton utilization. Moisture content is controlled at 6–7% to ensure ocean transit stability and reduce warping risk. This configuration improves export efficiency and lowers freight cost per unit, supporting high-volume importers managing consolidated shipments.
